It\u2019s a typical weekday morning and you are going through your child\u2019s take-home folder. Along with the monthly lunch menu, you find a flyer about signing up for band or orchestra. That\u2019s when your kid jumps up to tell you all about the \u201cinstrument petting zoo\u201d they had the other day at school\u2026and now they want to start playing a musical instrument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if you played an instrument in school yourself, chances are you might still be a little intimidated when it comes to getting your child set up. What instrument do you get? How much will it cost? Renting a beginner instrument is a good option during the child\u2019s first year of playing, if they are unsure, or if there is a rental credit or rent-to-buy option.
